When it comes to beds, there is no limit to the choices you have. You can find a bed to fit almost any need. From portable air beds, futons, bunk beds, platform beds and adjustable beds. There is no need for anyone to not have a good night's sleep.

As far as air beds go, they are widely accepted as spare beds. They are convenient, in that you can store them away in relatively little space when they're not needed. They come in many different sizes and styles. If your air bed will double as camping accessories, as many of them do, then you will definitely benefit from one of the higher quality ones that are less susceptible to being punctured by a rock or uneven terrain.

One of the common choices for beds these days are adjustable beds. Many people enjoy the comfort of their bedroom for watching a movie, reading a book, or just simply relaxing after a hard day's work. There are many manufacturers that make adjustable beds. Craftmatic, Sealy, Sleep Comfort, Spring Air, and Tempur -Pedic are some of the more common names you will come across in relation to adjustable beds.

The main benefits of an adjustable bed come from the fact that you can adjust the bed. Theses beds are commonly used by people that suffer from back pain, frequent heart burn, water retention and many other ailments. The adjustable position allows you to relieve the pressure from sore areas, and enables you to get a comfortable night's sleep.

Another choice that is gaining popularity is what is referred to as the 'Contemporary Platform Beds'. These beds fit well with most room themes, and allow you flexibility in your bedroom furniture and design. Platform beds do not require a box spring mattress. They have many specially designed wooden ' slats' that support the mattress. Some of them may have metal slats, and some may have slats with an additional piece of plywood.

This allows for the frames to be outfitted with accessories such as drawers and cabinets, making them that much more functional as well. These beds are becoming extremely popular with families of young children. The built-in drawers make an excellent place for them to store their toys.

If you have limited space in the bedroom, there are a number of options commonly referred to as loft beds. From traditional bunk beds to floating loft beds, these are pretty costly, but they are still an option. Floating loft beds hang suspended from the ceiling on very strong, yet flexible synthetic cords or belts. When not in use they can be raised to the ceiling.

Other types of beds for limited space include the Murphy beds. These are the loft beds that are simply folded into the walls when not in use. Some of the loft bed ideas incorporate a work station underneath with the bed up top. Some, like the futon beds, come with a double bed on the bottom and a single bed up top.
