Winter is again fast approaching us, although a lot of people may complain about the cold and damp weather, there is a sort of a satisfying feeling as in the back of your mind you know that you can snuggle up in your blanket in front of the TV with the central heating on, or get cosy in your bed and have a good nights sleep. What a lot of people seem to dislike is when they have to commute into work, in the cold winter mornings. Waking up at 7am and looking outside to a pitch black morning is very depressing especially if you are heading for a long commute to a city centre, that is why companies see an increase in employees that are off sick during the winter.

It sometimes surprises me as to how delicate the human race has become, just for the simple fact that if we did not have heating supplies in our reach we would probably freeze to death or at least get very ill. I guess that's what they call evolution, I am sure the cave men did not have any sort of heating supplies except for maybe some wood, as there bodies were built to last all seasons.

This brings me onto a solution for the new age of the human race; I believe that the next big thing in clothing will probably be in the form of central heated jackets. Yes that's right as technology advances jackets will be made with tiny fabric wires that are battery powered so that when you are outside, you will hardly feel the cold. But why stop there when there are a variety of other choices that can be made from the same idea. A heated hat, gloves and even shoes could be created that all run on these micro wires.

Although these will be massively helpful to the everyday commuter, what will it eventually do to our bodies? Well I can tell you that it will probably make them much weaker then they are now. We will become immune to even the smallest of illnesses and the common cold could probably become a global killer, if you have ever heard the saying stop wrapping them up in cotton wool? Well that is exactly what technology is doing to us, and if we do not start strengthening up our bodies I can only see the world getting worse, especially targeted towards global warming and the crumbling ozone layer.
