Well the time of years always seems to come around where pests and rodents will wreak havoc in your garden. I am quite a keen gardener myself and like to keep all my plants healthy and thriving, I usually check my plants once or twice a day just to make sure that they are not running low on water. Sometimes when I go out to check them the retched pests have been at them and all I can see is massive big wholes in the leaf of my plants. There can be a variety of pests that will cause this ranging from, worms, slugs and snails.

It is very hard to get rid of a lot of the garden pests simply because they can hide under the soil and live there for a very long time, there is also a huge amount of pests that constantly breed, so every time you eliminate one another will be right there, and the cycle just continues. A good tip to maintaining your garden is to remove a lot of old debris, leaves and plants because this is what actually attracts most of the common garden pests. Also a neat little trick that I learnt from my grandma is to always turn over your soil as a lot of pests like to breed in moist damp places, if you are persistently turning over the soil then it won't have a chance to get damp.

Another garden pest that is hated by a lot of people are pigeons and birds. They seem to always come down and peck away at your great plants, a little trick to keep them from eating your plants is to let them have something else. You can buy bird seeds or simply just use bread so that they only come back to eat what you are giving them and not helping themselves to anything they fancy. I see birds as a sort of pet because just like a dog or cat you can train them to do what you like.

If none of the above mentioned techniques are working for you then you may want to visit one of the various pest control locations where you can pick up and buy plenty of pesticides or natural remedies that will gradually help in eliminating them for good. Remember that the faster you act against these pests the faster they can be eliminated, if you just ignore them they may even start making there way into your home where you will then have to hire a pest control expert.
