Education is the only way to ensure that the problem is confronted not just on the surface, but all the way to the decomposing heads of cabbage deep inside. Education is an essential way of improving peoples livelihoods. Being able to read and to write and to learn how to learn is an important end itself but it enables people to do so much more.

Children transferring from 'mushrooming' private to government schools may not seem such a bad thing, given the assumption that private schools can be of low quality.
